The pharmacist has dispensed Kesimpta® 20mg solution for injection in pre-filled pen to the patient. The health insurer will not reimburse the cost of this prescription in full. The producer of this medicine has therefore instructed TBR Nederland to reimburse to the patient the Personal Contribution charged.

Reimbursement
Conditions
The maximum Personal Contribution in the Netherlands in 2023 and 2024 is €250 per patient per year. However, the Personal Contribution for this medicine is higher, namely €319.23 per pre-filled pen. The patient will therefore be charged a maximum of €250 of this amount by the health insurer. Costs above €250 are reimbursed by the health insurer. This also means that for multiple issues, the total costs above € 250 will be reimbursed by the health insurer.
The Personal Contribution for Kesimpta® 20mg solution for injection in pre-filled pen demonstrably charged to the patient by the health insurer, is eligible for full reimbursement via TBR Nederland.
Who can submit a claim
Patients or their carer can submit a claim for the Personal Contribution amount they paid for Kesimpta® 20mg solution for injection in pre-filled pen either online or by post. Online will be the fastest option. Pharmacists cannot submit claims on behalf of patients for this medicine.
From when till when can you submit a claim
Dispenses from October 1st, 2023 can be submitted to TBR Nederland. For the Reimbursement Scheme of this medicine no closing date has been determined yet.
